
Lone Tree Parking Garage Vehicle Fire

At 08:08 on April 11, 2025 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported multi-family structure fire in the 9900 block of Trainstation Circle in Lone Tree. Dispatch advised multiple callers reporting a vehicle on fire on the fourth floor of the parking garage. Safety 2 reported a smoke plum in the air and District Chief 1 upgraded the call to a confirmed structure fire and arrived to a large five story building with light smoke showing and took command on the Alpha side. Engine 44 arrived and assigned to start the investigation with Medic 44. Firefighters quickly found the source of the fire with a fully involved vehicle on the fourth floor parking garage with the overhead fire sprinkler system activated. The fire was put under control quickly with the rapid fire attack combined with the overhead fire sprinkler system. The fire was confined to a single vehicle and no extension occurred to adjacent vehicles or the residential portions of the complex. After a thorough investigation, SMFR Fire Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set. The cause has been classified as arson. Later that same day, Lone Tree Police arrested a suspect in connection with the incident facing charges of felony arson along with additional related offenses.
