Sterling Structure Fire
Just after midnight in the morning of March 13th, 2025, the Sterling Emergency Communications Center dispatched the Sterling Fire Department to the 400 block of Iris Drive for a possible structure fire. Dispatch advised responding units there was a victim trapped inside the home. First arriving companies assisted police officers with extricating the victim out of a small window on the Charlie side of the trailer. Once the patient was rescued, they were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Crews established attack lines on the Alpha side of the primary structure, as well as the neighboring trailer for exposure protection. Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire with no additional injuries. The cause of the fire is currently being jointly investigated by the Sterling Fire Department, Sterling Police Department, and Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control.
