Swift Water Training Series

The Dive Rescue International Swiftwater series is currently being held in Golden until June 9th 2025 and hosted by the Golden Fire Department. Several local departments and departments from around the country are participating in the class. 5280Fire covered Swiftwater 1 on May 28th, 2025 with personnel assembled from West Metro Fire Rescue, South Adams County Fire Department and Wheat Ridge Police Department with training in dive rescues, rope land training and water craft skills. The class courses will also include the Swiftwater 2 and the Trainer Program. The training includes water skills, dynamics of moving water, search rescue, boat rescue, land skills, triage exercises and more.
