West Metro Garage Fire

On October 31st, 2025 at 09:22 West Metro Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a working structure fire in 5000 block of S. Nelson St. Engine 11 arrived to a two-story single-family townhome with a working fire in the garage and pulled a 1 3/4 pre-connect for fire attack. Engine 12 pulled a 2nd line inside and check for extension and search. District 3 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. The fire was quickly contained to the garage area with some smoke that made its way into the adjoining unit. All occupants evacuated safely, prior to crews arriving and there were no reported injuries. The fire appears to be accidental, and the cause is under investigation.
