On April 1st, 2026 Adams 12 School Washington Square Fire Science students spent their first day at North Metro Fire Rescue District Fire Academy. Sixteen students split into four teams and in the morning and ran through VES, SCBA maze, hose line advancement and ladders. During the afternoon the four teams we able to practice hose line advancement to the second floor under smoke conditions and second floor search & rescue of a dummy again under smoke conditions. All this under the watch eyes of their instructors.
