Adams County Semi Trailer Fire

On April 11th, 2026 around 20:45 Adams County Fire Rescue Truck 11 was  dispatched to a vehicle fire on the on ramp to W. 84th Ave. from northbound I-25. Adcom 911 advised that multiple callers reporting fully involved and the call was upgraded. Truck 11 arrived on scene to a working fire from a Amazon trailer and not the cab of the semi and pulled a line in fire control. Engine 11 arrived and supplied the water supply to Truck 11. Crews had to force entry to the back of the trailer and the fire reached the exterior side of the trailer and burnt through the metal, catching some of the boxes on fire inside the truck. Crews located the main body of fire which was extinguished and crews started an extended overhaul by pulling containers out of the trailer. The driver was not injured and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Adams County Fire Rescue
