Arvada Duplex Deck Fire

On July 16th, 2026 approximately at 12:36 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a possible structure fire in the 6100 block of Lee St. Jeffcom 911 advised that the homeowners were reporting their back porch was on fire with smoke showing. SAM 51 arrived on scene to a duplex with a small fire from a deck on the Delta side and Engine 56 arrived and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack with Medic 56. Battalion 52 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy and assigned Engine 52 with ventilation and Engine 51 with the primary search of both units. The fire was quickly extinguished with no extension into the main structure and the rest of the response was cancelled. No reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
