North Metro Structure Fire

At approximately 05:30 on April 22nd, 2026 North Metro Fire Rescue District and Thornton Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 12200 block of Dairy St. in East Lake. Engine 63 and Medic 63 arrived to a two-story single-family home with smoke showing from the front porch. Crews found a small fire on the porch which was quickly put out with a water can before the fire could extend into the home. Crews checked for hidden heat, removed portions of the porch railing, and confirmed all hot spots were fully extinguished. The rest of the response was cancelled. No injuries were reported.
