Heil Ranch Fire

On March 4th. 2026 at 15:16 Boulder County Communications received several 911 calls reporting smoke in the area of the Heil Valley Ranch. Command 4161 arrived on scene to a wildland fire within the 2020 Calwood Fire burn scar. Crews worked a slow creeping wildland fire in steep terrain and the DFPC Firehawk responed and dropped water on the fire. The fire was contained around 20:00 and crews strayed overnight into the next day to monitor the fire for hot spots. The fire burned 7.6 acres.
