Semi vs. Semi Collision

On May 27th, 2026 just before 01:00 Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) dispatched Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District and Mountain View Fire Rescue to a semi vs. semi collision on southbound I-25 near mile marker 236. Despite the severity of the crash, only one patient was transported to the hospital and no serious injuries were reported. Incidents like this are uncommon, but they are exactly why we train for complex roadway emergencies and large vehicle extrications.. The highway was closed for several hours and opened after 06:00.
