Full-Scale Hazmat Training

The Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management and the Colorado National Guard 8th Civil Support Team conducted a joint response full-scale hazardous materials training exercise at the former Moore Middle School in Westminster on February 24th, 2026. Hazmat teams from the local metro area also participated in the event. The Colorado Army National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction-8th Civil Support Team assisted in the training with identifying the hazards for an incident commander on scene. The exercises were designed and evaluated by personnel from the U.S. Army North.

Arvada Fire Protection District: Truck 60, Truck 54, Hazmat 4 & Medic 54

Westminster Fire Department: Engine 1 & Hazmat 4
