South Metro Residential Fire

On September 18th, 2026 at 20:17 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a working fire in the 1500 block of W. Shepperd Ave. in Littleton. Engine 11 arrived at a split-level single-family home with visible flames showing. Crews completed a 360 and pulled a 1-3/4″ line, to start the initial offensive attack. Additional resources were assigned to the location. A hydrant was not near the location and Engine 11 remained on tank water until additional units arrived on scene. Three occupants were displaced and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family. 2 pet cats did not survive. No injuries were reported. The scene is under investigation.
