Loveland Commercial Fire

On February 12th, 2026 at 12:55 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Berthoud Fire Protection District and Thompson Valley EMS was dispatched to a fire alarm activation in the 4100 block of Saint Cloud Drive in northeast Loveland. The alarm was quickly upgraded to a confirmed commercial structure fire based on additional 911 calls and Engine 50 reporting visible smoke as they were responding. Crews arrived on scene with smoke coming from the roof of the building. Employees reported that a machine was on fire inside the building, firefighters observed a moderate to heavy smoke condition inside the structure. It was reported that some employees were still inside. Crews deployed a hose line for fire attack and initiated a search operation. Firefighters located a large machine and a cache of magnesium chips burning inside the structure, dry chemical extinguishing agent was utilized to control the magnesium fire, the machine was extinguished once power was secured. Medics evaluated several employees for possible smoke inhalation, fortunately no one was transported for medical care. No reported injuries to responders.
