Pueblo County Home Explosion

On January 8th, 2026 in the afternoon Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center dispatched fire units to the area of 57th Lane and Cherry Rd. for a possible home explosion in rural eastern Pueblo County. Crews arrived to a fully involved structure and started fire attack. Firefighters were able to get the fire put under control quickly. Two individuals died in the explosion. A preliminary investigation indicates it was an accidental explosion. Information provided by Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office
