At approximately 21:30 on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched the Security Fire Department to the intersection of Main St and Norman Dr for a vehicle that crashed into a building. Upon arrival, crews encountered a single vehicle and a nearby structure both sustaining significant damage. Initial findings indicate the vehicle, occupied by two young adults, was traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control, becoming airborne, striking the upper portion of a second-floor level of the building, and ultimately landing on the ground. Both occupants were rapidly extricated and transported to an area trauma center for evaluation. The incident remains under investigation by Colorado State Patrol. Additional information provided by the Security Fire Department.
