South Adams Grass Fire

On February 11th, 2026 at 10:22 South Adams County Fire Department, Adams County Fire Rescue and Platte Valley Ambulance Service responded to a possible structure fire in the 4800 block of Forest St. Engine 22 arrived to heavy black smoke and flames in an open field area and started the investigation. A grass fire was found and a homeless encampment and a requested for a brush truck to the scene and the structure fire response was cancelled. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Denver Fire Department was also on scene. Additional information provided by South Adams County Fire Department
