Villa Grove Structure Fire

At approximately 1700 on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026 the Saguache Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched the 34000 block of Highway 285 in Villa Grove for reports of a structure fire. On scene responders found multiple buildings heavily involved in fire including a liquor store and pottery studio. Fire crews worked through the night and into the morning chasing hotspots and flare ups throughout the buildings. The buildings are considered a total loss and no injuries were reported.
