West Metro Trapped Rollover

On July 17th, 2026 at 14:15 West Metro Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to an MVA on westbound C-470 at the W. Bowles Ave. exit. Engine 12 arrived on scene to a single-vehicle rollover on the right shoulder with one trapped party and crews started extrication. Engine 11 set-up for traffic safety for Engine 12 and Tower 10 assisted with the extrication. District 3 arrived and assumed C-470 command with all westbound lanes closed. The occupant was removed from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital by South Metro Medic 16 with unknown injuries. Although traffic was backed up for 2 miles, the eastbound lanes remained open. All westbound traffic was diverted to the W. Ken Caryl Ave. exit. Local surface streets were heavily impacted. No other injuries were reported and the cause of the accident is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
