Lakewood Structure Fire

On January 14th, 2026 at 23:38 Jeffcom 911 dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue Engine 8 to a fence fire between two homes in the 2200 block of S. Hoyt Court in the Parkwest Ridge neighborhood. Engine 8 arrived on scene to a fence on fire extending into the garage and requested a full structure fire response and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack and search with a possible occupant still inside. Medic 10 arrived and assisted with the search, Tower 10 started access to the garage and Medic 7 as medical. District 2 arrived and took over command on the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. Crews found an electrical panel sparking on the side of the home and Xcel was requested. All searched were clear and all residents of both homes were able to escape without injury. The fire was put under control after midnight and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
