
West Metro South Lee Way Structure Fire
West Metro Chimney Fire
On January 31st, 2026 at 19:08 West Metro Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a working structure fire in the 6900 block of S. Lee Way in Ken Caryl. Engine 12 arrived to a small two-story single-family residential with a working fire with smoke showing from an attic vent above the 2nd floor area and pulled a attack line in. Engine 13 secured the water supply to Engine 12 and Medic 13 with medical. District 3 arrived and took over command in the offensive strategy and assigned South Metro Engine 13 to assist with fire attack. Crews found fire in a wall next to the chimney that was extending into some immediate surrounding wood framing through to the 2nd floor. Crews opened an interior drywall and up the exterior siding allowing for a quick fire knock down. No reported injuries and the cause is under investigation.
