On May 16th, 2026 the Westminster Fire Department held their annual open house at Station 5, 10100 Garland St. with the local community coming out to enjoy food, learn safety tips, junior combat challenge, tour the fire apparatus, meet with first responders and ride on the 1956 Seagrave engine. Flight for Life was on hand with CCT 12 and Lifeguard 1 landing. The Westminster Police Department, Westminster Communications Center, North Metro Fire Rescue District and others were also on hand at the event.
