Grand Junction Commercial Fire

On July 4th, 2009 at approximately 13:00 the Grand Junction Fire Department was dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at Powerhouse Gym, 2460 Patterson Rd. Crews arrived on scene and found heavy fire in a Stanley Steamer carpet cleaning van parked behind the business. The fire had spread to the back side of the building. Firefighters were on scene about an hour extinguishing the fire, checking for extension and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
