Grand Junction Emergency Landing

On July 1st, 2009 the Grand Junction Fire Department and Walker Field Fire Authority (ARFF) Fire Department responded to an aircraft emergency on the tarmac at Walker Field. An American Airlines jet made an emergency landing due to a mechanic issues. Firefighters responded to the tarmac, checked the plane and assisted with the evacuation of the passengers. No injuries were reported..
