Lower Valley Structure Fire

On March 15th, 2009 the Lower Valley Fire District was dispatched to a reported structure fire in a rural area west of Fruita. Firefighters arrived on scene and found an outbuilding fire that had spread to the surrounding vegetation. Fire crews and local residents were able to extinguish the fire in about an hour. The outbuilding was a total loss but other nearby structures were protected.
