Wheat Ridge House Fire

At 22:04 on December 16th, 2011 Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District with auto-aid from Fairmount Fire Protection District responded to a confirmed structure fire at 3870 Oak St. Engine 72 arrived on scene to a single-story single-family residential structure with heavy black smoke and flames from the Charlie side and went into a transitional attack. Engine 71 laid in with a 5 inch from W. 38th Ave. & Oak St. and crews pulled attack lines to the Charlie side. The fire was quickly knocked with minimal extension.  The resident self-evacuated and no injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
