Ranger Reservoir Rescue

On June 21st, 2012 at approximately 13:00 Park Rangers from Aurora Parks, Recreation and Open Space were dispatched to a stranded vessel on Aurora Reservoir. A small boat had lost power and was unable to make it back to shore. The boat with two people onboard, was endanger of capsizing in the choppy waters. Rangers responded to the marina and began searching for the stranded vessel in a patrol boat. The boat was located on the north side of the reservoir and towed safely back to the marina. Both occupants were wearing life jackets and no injuries were reported.
