Engine No. 4 Fire

At on May 4th, 2012 Denver Fire Department responded to the Denver Firefighters Museum for a vehicle fire. Retired DFD Engineer and Museum Volunteer, Dan Farley kept the fire under control until firefighters arrived. Crews arrived to the old Engine No. 4 fully involved from the engine. Crews were able to get a quick knock on the fire and saving most of the engine. The museum purchased the 1953 Seagrave in 1999 to serve as a hearse for active, retired and line-of-duty firefighters, and the the first designated department hearse in the United Sates. The engine will need extensive repairs. No injuries were reported.
