Loveland Basement Fire

At 20:25 on October 25th, 2012 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority responded to a reported structure fire at 747 W 5th St. in Loveland Historic District. Upon arrival of Battalion 1 it was indicated that smoke was coming from the rear of the structure. Engine 1 arrived and found fire in the Bravo-Charlie parts of the basement and quickly knocked the flames. Primary and Secondary searches of the residence were all clear and the homeowner also confirmed he was the only one home. Crews worked to vent the thick smoke from the structure and also began checking for extension, the fire extended into the bravo side of the main level wall and after a couple of hours of overhaul it was confirmed the fire was out.
