At 13:02 on September 30th, 2012 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority responded to a structure fire in the 3800 block of Kremmling Dr. Squad 2 arrived indicating smoke was coming from the eaves of the garage attic space Delta side. Squad 2 pulled their 1 3/4 hose line and had it charged ready for the next due engine while they began seeking out the exact location of the fire.  Engine 5 laid their 5 inch line from the hydrant and established the water supply to Squad 2 for fire attack. The fire was located, and quickly knocked down, directly behind the garage crawling up the siding from a burning yard waste bin after the homeowner disposed of hot fire pit ashes three to four hours earlier into the bin.  The fire was declared under control at 13:37 and mop up began.  No injuries were reported and there was moderate damage to the garage portion of the structure.
