Golden Fallen Climber Rescue

At 18:26 on August 11th, 2013 Golden Fire Department responded to a report of a fallen climber in Clear Creek Canyon at the junction of Hwy. 6. Dispatch advised units that 911 caller reported that the climber suffered a seizure. Crews arrived and determined that the patient would need to be rescued and carried from the trail with a long distance from road which would required an extended rescue. Flight for Life was put on stand-by, but later was stand-down. Crews worked on getting to the patent off the trail, and after the rescue the victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries by Medic 21.
