2nd Alarm Fire

At 12:53 on May 31st, 2013 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a confirmed commercial structure fire at 412 Wright St. in Lakewood. Engine 6 arrived to find a 2-story multi-family dwelling with smoke showing on the Alpha side, began fast attack and accessed the 2nd floor where heavy fire was found. District 2 arrived and took over Wright command, and transmitted a 2nd alarm. Engine 6 arrived and worked the primary line with Medic 6, while Engine 4 pulled a back-up line in. Tower 10 arrived and assigned as roof ops and Tower 3 to preformed vertical ventilation. Rescue 4 assigned as search and utilities, Engine 2 as RIT and Medic 2 as medical group. Crews got the fire knocked down and under control at 13:22 with no reported injuries. American Red Cross was requested for assistance for displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information was provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
