Westminster House Fire
At 11:28 on August 19th, 2013 Westminster Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 7200 block of Ingalls St. Medic 1 advised black smoke visible from W. 72nd Ave & Stuart St. and Battalion 2 requested additional Engine & Medic. Medic 1 arrived to a 2-story residential structure with flames showing from the Delta side. Engine 1 arrived and reported heavy fire in the back patio and began fast attack. Battalion 2 arrived and assumed command, and Engine 2 arrived and pulled a back-up line. Engine 2 & Medic 1 were assigned to check the attic, and Engine 55 to search & rescue, and check the basement for extension. With all hands working, Command asked for 2 additional engines. Training 2 was assigned as Safety, and Truck 3 as roof ops. Truck 2 as RIC and Medic 3 as medical. Engine 11 also checked the swamp cooler on the roof that was smoking. All searches were clear and investigators were called to the scene.
