Beer Truck Rollover

Around 13:30 on July 25th, 2013 Fairmount Fire Protection District responded to a reported semi overturned off the eastbound entrance ramp onto I-70 from Hwy. 58. Crews arrived to a semi tractor-trailer rollover and on it’s side with part of the trailer off the ramp onto Youngfield St. The truck was hauling beer from the Coors Brewery when it lost control and rolled on the sharp turn to I-70. The crash closed Hwy. 58 as well at parts of Youngfield St. from W. 40th Ave. to W 44th Ave until after 16:00, for clean-up and for the investigation. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. This section of highway has had many accidents that are similar over the years.
