Quincy Reservoir Grass Fire

On April 26th, 2014 at approximately 13:00 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported grass fire at Quincy Reservoir. Firefighters arrived on scene and found a fast moving grass fire due to strong winds. Additional resources were summoned from Sable Altura Fire Rescue and the Cunningham Fire Protection District. Crews were on scene about two hours extinguishing the fire and mopping up hot spots. No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
