Water Rescue Investigation

On June 2nd, 2014 at approximately 11:00 North Washington Fire Rescue and Southwest Adams County Fire Protection District were dispatched to a reported water rescue in Clear Creek near Lowell Boulevard and W. 55th Place. Dispatch reported that an overturned kayak was stuck in the current near a spill way just east of Lowell Boulevard. Firefighters arrive on scene and observed a red kayak stuck in the water. Firefighters donned water rescue suits and lowered a crew member into the water from an aerial ladder. Nobody was found in the water near the kayak.
