Arvada Apartment Fire

At 15:31 on March 21st, 2015 Arvada Fire Protection District was alerted to a structure fire at 10388 W. 58th Place. Dispatch advised that multiple 911 calls were reporting explosions and fire from the 3rd floor balcony. Engine 51 arrived to a 3-story multi-family large apartment complex with smoke and flames showing with extension to the roof. Engine 51 used the deck gun to the 3rd floor balcony and pulled a 1 /34 line in for fire attack with Medic 51. Engine 52 established the water supply to Engine 51, and Battalion 51 arrived and took command in the offensive strategy. Truck 54 arrived and went to the roof and Engine 56 pulled a 2nd line in for fire attack on the Charlie side. Truck 56 split into squad & truck functions for primary search & utilities. Crews were able to get the fire under control, and started an extended overhaul. All searched proved negative and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
