Golden House Fire

Just after noon on April 23rd, 2015 Golden Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 706 Iowa St. and dispatch advising units that Golden Police officers on scene reporting heavy smoke and flames showing. Chief 21 arrived to heavy fire in the rear of a single-family residence. Engine 24 arrived and pulled a line in the back of the structure for fire attack, and Tower 21 assigned as ventilation. Engine 32 pulled a 2nd line off Engine 24, and command advised smoke showing from the eves with fire extending into the attic space. Crews found fire from a shed in the back of the house that was attached. The fire was quickly brought under control with no reported injuries, and the cause is under investigation.
