Arvada Kitchen Fire

At 16:35 on November 22nd, 2015 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a possible structure fire in the 6200 block of W. 80th Pl. in Lake Arbor with multiple 911 calls. Engine 55 arrived to a 2-story single-family with nothing showing, and began investigation. Engine 55 reported smoke showing from the kitchen and from the eves, advised dispatch to maintain the alarm, and pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack. Engine 53 arrived and secured a water supply, and then started a primary search of the structure. Battalion 51 arrived and took over command in the offensive strategy. Truck 56 split crews into truck & squad for secondary search, and utilities. Medic 54 arrived and provided medical for one patient with smoke inhalation. Command declared the fire under control at 16:53, and crews started work on overhaul. The cause is under investigation.
