Clear Creek County Structure Fire

At 11:20 on November 12th, 2016 Clear Creek Fire Authority responded to a reported house fire in the 140 block of Puma Ranch Rd. just west of Idaho Springs. Crews arrived to well involved three-story cabin structure spreading to the surrounding vegetation. A helicopter and an air tanker was requested to help with the fire with several air drops. Mutual-aid from Evergreen, Central City and the US Forest Service was also requested. Crews saved a neighboring home which was about 100 yards up the hill from the fire. The fire was contained around 14:30. The cause is unknown at this time.
