High Rise Fire

At 11:38 on September 21st, 2016 Denver Fire Department was dispatched to high rise fire at 1475 California St in Downtown. Multiple 911 callers reporting smoke and fire showing from a under construction high rise At 15th & California. Engine 3 arrived to heavy smoke showing from the Alpha-Delta corner of approximately the 5th floor of a high rise under construction with offensive interior attack. Chief 2 arrived and assumed command, and requested additional engine, tower and truck to the scene. Access and water supply were challenges, but crews got the fire under control around 25 minutes. Construction products as well as a temporary wood frame wall fueled this fire. 2 construction workers were transported from the scene with smoke inhalation injuries to local hospitals.
