Firefighters from the Denver Fire Department took advantage of the warmer weather on January 2nd, 2016 to engage in ice rescue training in City Park.  Despite the frigid temperatures in the area over the holidays, local lakes and waterways can be hazardous for people and their pets.  Crews from the water rescue team, Station 8 and Station 15 spent part of the afternoon honing their ice rescue skills using cold water rescue suits, ropes and a banana boat.
