Fairmount West 44th Ave Commercial Fire

On August 9th, 2016 around 19:30 Fairmount Fire Protection District was called out to alarm call at 14352 W. 44th Ave. Engine 32 arrived on scene to a commercial building with light smoke showing, and upgraded the call to a working structure fire. Engine 33 arrived and established a water supply and pulled in a 1 ¾ line. Battalion 30 arrived and assumed command to a 2 story building with smoke showing from the garage area. Tower 31 set up as RIT, and Golden Fire Department was dispatched with auto-aid. Chief 21 was assigned safety, Engine 21 as man power. Crews found smoke from a motor on a unit inside the building. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
