Lakewood Apartment Fire

At 04:22 on July 6th, 2016 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire in the 6400 block of W. 13th Ave. in Lakewood. Engine 1 arrived to a working fire with heavy involvement showing from the first floor apartment in a two-story multi-family building with partial evacuation. Engine 1 pulled a 2 1/2 line in for fire attack with Medic 1 & Medic 11, which also started working on evacuations with Lakewood Police Department, and Engine 16 arrived and assigned second floor evacuations.  Engine 3 established a water supply, and assisted Engine 16 on the second floor. Engine 16 pulled a 3rd line in for fire attack and Engine 2 rescued 2 family cats. The fire was placed under control at 04:39. No injuries were reported and the case of the fire is under investigation.
