Arvada House Fire

At 4:15 on October 7th, 2017 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a residential structure fire at 7812 Saulsbury St. Dispatch advised units that 911 caller reports that the front bedroom was on fire. Engine 55 & Medic 55 arrived to a working fire in a 2-story residential home with heavy smoke showing on the Alpha side Division 2. Engine 55 pulled a 1 ¾ line in off tank water, transitional attack in the offensive strategy. Rescue 54 arrived and pulled a second line off Engine 55 to the Alpha side, and prepared to make entry. Support 51 arrived and assumed command with Battalion 51, Rescue 54 was assigned search & rescue, Engine 51 established a water supply to Engine 55, Engine 53 secured the utilities and started ventilation. The fire was put under control at 4:39 and crews started overhaul. No reported injuries and the fire is under investigation.
