Edgewater House Fire

At 12:26 on March 6th, 2017 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at 2544 Chase Street in Edgewater. 911 caller advised that flames were showing and spreading to the house next door. Engine 1 arrived to a small residential structure with smoke and fire showing from the Delta side. Engine 1 & Medic 1 started fire attack with a pre-connect and established a water supply from 25th Ave & Chase with a 5 inch. Engine 16 & Medic 16 worked the Alpha side, Engine 7 arrived and assigned as RIT. District Chief 1 arrived on scene and assumed command on the Alpha Bravo corner remaining in the offensive strategy, and assigned SaM 1 as Safety. Tower 2 worked roof ops and ventilation. The fire was placed under control at 12:51 and crews started overhaul. Arvada Fire Protection District Battalion 51 & Tower 56 were cancelled before arriving on scene. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
