Fully Involved Shed Fire

At 07:27 on August 11th, 2018 Arvada Fire Protection District was dispatched to a structure fire in the area of W. 60th Ave. & Pierce St. with multiple 911 callers reporting possible explosions and a tree on fire. Battalion 51 enroute advised a large amount of smoke in air. Rescue 54 arrived on scene to a fully involved shed not attached on fire in the offensive strategy, and pulled a pre-connect for fire attack. Engine 51 established a water supply to Rescue 54. Battalion 51 arrived and assumed Pierce command from Rescue 54. Crews got a quick knock on the fire at 07:44 with no other structures involved. One patient was treated on scene for smoke inhalation and the fire is under investigation.
