Arvada House Fire
At 20:05 on October 13th, 2018 Arvada Fire Protection District was alerted by Jeffcom 911 with multiple reports of a structure fire in the 6300 block of Teller St. Dispatch advised units en route that Arvada Police Department on scene reporting flames showing from a house. Engine 51 arrived to 2 story single family residential with a working fire on the outside of the Bravo side, hitting with the deck gun in the offensive strategy, and establishing their own water supply. Engine 53 arrived and assisted with the water supply, and Truck 54 assigned as primary search. Crews worked the fire on the exterior with in strong winds. Battalion 51 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Engine 55 on the Alpha side, and pull a line for fire attack. The fire was quickly extinguished and out at 20:17, and crews started ventilation and overhaul and cleared the scene at 21:30. The home had working smoke alarms that alerted the residents that there was a fire which allowed for them to safely escape. No injures were reported and the fire is under investigation.
