Arvada Basement Fire

At 19:41 on October 14th, 2018 JeffCom alerted Arvada Fire Protection District of a possible structure fire in the 6900 block of W. 80th Circle. Engine 55 arrived to a medium single story family residential with smoke showing from the garage area, pulled a 1 3/4 line for search rescue and fire attack in the offensive strategy, and established their own water supply. Truck 54 arrived and pulled a additional line off Engine 55, and started primary search on Division 1. Engine 53 secured the utilities, and Battalion 51 arrived and assumed command. Fire was put under control at 19:56. Smoke alarms alerted the residents that there was a fire and allowed for them to safety escape the home. No injures were reported and the fire is under investigation.
