Residential Structure Fire
At 05:40 on December 2nd, 2018 Grand Junction Regional Communication Center (GJRCC) dispatched out Clifton Fire Protection District Engine 21 and Truck 21 to a residential structure fire at 3210 Opal Ct. Unit D for flames shooting out of a window and a fully engulfed unit. At 05:46 a mutual aid request was dispatched to Grand Junction Fire Department Engine 2 and Truck 1 for a working fire. Engine 21 arrived on scene to a working fire on Delta side of two-story four-plex residential structure with apparent evacuation and called Opal Command with Captain 21 in command. Truck 21 staged at the hydrant and dropped in a 5-Inch supply line to Engine 21. Engine 21 took in two 1 ¾” lines for fire attack. Truck 1 and Engine 2 arrived on scene, staging west. Engine 2 was assigned utilities and Truck 1 was assigned search in Unit C as well at extension check. At the 20 Minute PAR Check, the fire had been knocked and crews were in overhaul and ventilation.
