Franktown Outbuilding Fire

At 15:33 on July 22nd, 2018 Franktown Fire Protection District responded to a brush fire at Castlewood Canyon Rd. & Willow Lake, and upgraded to outbuilding fire. Engine 181 arrived to a fully involved outbuilding with defensive strategy. Chief 182 arrived and assumed command, crews reported a pallet of tires on fire with the outbuilding involved, and started foam on the tires. Tender 184 arrived and supplied water to Engine 181, Engine 184 arrived and pulled a second attack line in. Crews got the fire out at 16:00 and started overhaul with no other structures that were threatened and no reported injuries. South Metro Fire Rescue was request for mutual-aid.
